about the studio

Because I am an active member of several music organizations there are many opportunities available for students. In DAS HAUS VON MUSIK (German for The House of Music) studio the following will be required of each student: A) Progress Chart, B) Minute Club, C) Participation in two recitals, fall and spring, D) With the exception of beginners, each student will be assigned a duet partner to be performed at the fall recital.
MMTA Ensemble Festival will be an optional event for students who prepared a duet for the fall recital. MMTA theory, comprehensive piano, and sightreading exams will be an optional event for students. ESFMC is the most popular event where a student after accumulating 15 points will receive an engraved Gold Cup. All DAS HAUS VON MUSIK students will have the option of participating in this event.
I look forward to many DAS HAUS VON MUSIK students participating in these events. They can be great motivators!

 I truly love teaching and interacting with students of all ages. Deciding to teach piano was one of the best decisions I ever made. I love my student's eagerness to learn and find that they teach me as much as I teach them! I have a sincere hope that each and every one of my students learns to appreciate music and carry it with them throughout their lives.
